We meet at the Ahmedabad Airport today around 9 am. Most important cities in the country connect well by flight and rail to Ahmedabad. Whoever wishes to come a day prior, feel free to ping us seperately so we can assist with the same. We will be happy to help you with booking trains / flights from your home city to Ahmedabad and back, as per your comforts. Once we meet, we quickly grab some snacks / "Naashto" as they say here, and head out to visit the Modhera sun temple. After scrumptious lunch, we will be visiting a cozy hamlet called Patan today. In Patan, we explore the weaves of Patola - Bharat's finest weaves (and extremely intricate, thus expensive too!!!) and also check out the magnificent stepwell called Rani Nu Vav (Stepwell of the Queen) Said to be built by the 11th Century Chalukyan Queen, this stepwell is truly a masterpiece in history and legacy.

Morning optional safari for those who want to explore the wildlife around us. You will be able to spot migratory birds, The Great Indian Wild Ass, jackals etc. and if lucky some wild cats too. Once done with the visit, come back for breakfast and then you will be heading out to Dholavira - a site left behind by the Indus Valley Civilization. We will be staying amidst these ruins today! The roads to Dholavira open up many secret White Salt Deserts and you will be one of the very few who actually gets to enjoy this part. The museum and excavation site here take people through centuries of history and we are going to be guided around the site by a senior excavator from the area.

Post breakfast, we leave for Hodko. Today is also the day when we head out to the star attraction - White Rann. Once in Hodko, we check in to our bhungas. Bhungas are traditional mud huts. Our resort in Hodko is a semi luxurious, comfortable stay. These bhungas are unique to the region and staying in them is a must!!! This evening, for sunset, we visit The Great White Rann. It is bound to be crowded as is every day during the Rann utsav, so we head there early and find a quiet nice spot to enjoy the sunset. We also visit the Rann utsav grounds for the various shopping options around. Once we head back, we grab some nice dinner along with campfire, local dance and music.

Today, for sunrise, we go back to the Rann to witness the beautiful landscapes again at dawn. What a great way to start the year, na? Enjoy the break of dawn on the very first day of 2026. Here is wishing you many more such bright days ahead! After some fun sunrise time, we head back to the resort for breakfast. Post breakfast back at the resort, we head out to Kalo Dungar, the highest point in Kutch. From here you can see the Indo-Pak border on a clear day. Post this visit, let's go to Nirona. Nirona is an artisan village. Copper Bell making, the indigenous Rogan artwork, lacquer work and a couple of more art forms have thrived in this tiny hamlet since generations. We visit Nirona to understand its art history and rural life in Kutch. For lunch, we will be going to a locals' home and sitting down for a traditional lunch here in Nirona.

We explore areas around Bhuj and Mandvi today. Our morning starts with a visit to Ajrakhpur - the area where the famous Ajrakh prints come from. Post a rendezvous with block printing, indigo dyeing and textiles, we head out for lunch at a local dhaba. From here, we will head to Mandvi - for the stunning Vijay Vilas Palace, the exquisite 72 Jainalaya temple and the Mandvi beach. Evening at the beach in Mandvi. We will pick a quiet spot and those interested in swimming, parasailing etc. can partake in the activities. For those who do not want to do so, the sunsets at Mandvi are breathtaking and this is exactly what we are here for.

Today, we bid adieu to the land of pristine beauty and head back out to Ahmedabad. Long drive back today so book flights out late evening. For those interested in taking the train back from Bhuj, you can do that too. Bhuj also connects well by railway to some cities in the country. Based on your comforts, we can help with the bookings.
