We pick you up from Leh Airport. Leh is perched at an altitude of 3500 mts and is a bowl shaped town surrounded by the Kangri mountain ranges on all sides. In May, the higher peaks will still have snow, but the sun will shine bright in the city. Once you reach the hotel and rest for a bit. For lunch, we walk out to the markets and then go on a walking tour across the town today. For sunset, we head to the Leh Palace, a beautiful monastery and Tsemo hill that overlooks the entire city in all its beauty. Overnight in Leh.

Head to Alchi today. This village, aptly called moonland of India is a true wonderland with its cream and purple hued mountains. In Lamayuru, we visit Ladakh's oldest monastery and if time permits, even grab lunch with the monks here. From here we head back to Leh, enroute stopping over at the Indus - Zanskar confluence. At this "Sangam" you can go rafting, or simply sit by the riverside and enjoy a quiet time. We also stop over at the Magnetic hill point and the oldest (and highest!) gurudwaras in the region - Gurudwara Patharsahib. Back to Leh for the night.

Head straight to Nubra Valley after breakfast. You will be crossing through the magnificent Khardung La Pass today - the Highest Motorable road in the world. We descend from the pass and head into Nubra, Ladakh's very own valley of flowers. Between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of Himalayas is a little town called Hunder best known for its sand dunes and double humped Bactrian camels. Kindly ensure you treat the animals with gentle care (if you decide to ride them that is!) Overnight stay in Hunder. Overnight in Nubra!

We take a short excursion today to the Indo Pak Border village of Turtuk and Thang. As we go around the wonderful tiny hamlet of Turtuk on a walking tour, it is going to be easy to fall in love with the region a little more. Local lunch at a home today and then head to Thang post lunch. As the sun sets, watch Pakistan and India's borders. If lucky, you can also spot a few bunkers today and trust us, the feeling of standing at the LOC is truly surreal!

We leave post breakfast and head to the Diskit Monastery. After visiting the towering 32 mt Maitreya Buddha and the Nubra Valley's oldest monastery, we drive straight out to Pangong Tso! This evening, we camp under the stars in our luxury tents, light a campfire and party in the true, old Ladakhi style (You have to experience it to know it ????) Dinner and rest at our cute Pangong campsite today!

Early this morning, wake up to the silent water trickling around the lake. Take a walk around the mesmerizing wonderland before breakfast and then check out and head to Leh. The drive will take about 6 hours and we will be passing through the Chang La Pass today, yet another breathtaking high altitude mountain pass. Enroute we will also be stopping over at the iconic Hemis monastery (richest monastery in all of Ladakh) and Thiksey monastic school. Back to Leh for the night!
