Meet at our pick up point in Chandigarh today at 7:00 AM. From Chandigarh we board our tempo traveler and head to Shimla / Narkanda today. If you want to avoid Chandigarh you can also fly into Delhi a day prior and then take an overnight bus / train to Chandigarh! For the best options for travel from your home city to Chandigarh, reach out to us seperately so we can help you with good options :) Once you reach Shimla today, local sightseeing of Christ church, mall road etc. Basic sightseeing will be done today in Shimla. Please know that this is only a pit stop before you head onto the larger journey so keep it easy and chill it out today!

Our Journey into Kinnaur commences officially today. We will be having a hearty breakfast and setting out latest by 8:00 AM. The drive to Sangla will take about 6-7 hours but will be interspersed by some breaks enroute. Our first stop will be the Padam palace at Rampur Bushahr. After a quick tour, we head ahead to Sarahan to visit the Bhimakali temple, one of the most important Shakti worship sites in Himachal. After the visit, we head for lunch and then head straight to Sangla. Overnight in Sangla

Explore Chitkul + Sangla + Batseri + Rakkcham today - After a leisurely breakfast, we commence our journey to Chitkul, the last village in this part of India. Bordering the Tibet Border, this village is accessible mostly by foot. Today we will also be driving down to the Nagasti check post for some photops. This is the last point as of now allowed for tourist vehicles. After a leisurely village walk, we head down for lunch. Post lunch, we will explore the endless fields and verdant sceneries of Rakkcham, Sangla and Batseri. Once done, we head back to our hotel in Sangla for sunset and rest.

This morning, we leave after breakfast and head straight to Nako. Nako, known for its pristine, pious lake and old time charm, is a revelation. We walk through the village, checking out the ancient paraphernalia scattered all around the village and also learn about the customs and traditions of the region. From here we head to see the iconic Spiti Mummy at Gue Monastery. Said to be the mummy of a revered monk, this particular mummy is the old one in India presently. Once done with the visit, we head to Tabo and overnight here.

Early morning visit the monastery for the prayers and (if time permits) hike up to the ancient caves in Tabo too. Best known for its monastery which is over 400 years old and ancient religious art, this place is as mystical as it can get. We take you inside sacred caves full of breathtaking paintings. No wonder it is called the Ajanta of the Himalayas. Tabo is also known for India's sweetest apples, so ensure you get yourself some to relish right here. Once done with the excursion, early this morning, we head to Dhankar - the most stoic and oldest village in Spiti. After breakfast, we head up to Dhankar and reach it in time for lunch at our local friend's home. Check into our homestay today and relax. For sunset, we head upto the fort here and sip on some chai as we see the sun set over the majestic Spiti river and mountains. Down, far far below, tiny houses begin to turn their lights on for the evening. Tonight is going to be all about local stories, tasting the local wine, eating wholesome Spitian food and stargazing - We have never seen prettier skies than in Dhankar, so come join us

Early today we hike to the Dhankar Lake, a high altitude glacial body. We would have carried our breakfasts and tea to the lake and it's a little picnic that we have here. What better way to bring in the Independence day with a beautiful hike to one of the prettiest glacial lakes in the Indian Himalayas. Once we are back, its time to freshen up, pack and head to Langza, a quaint little fossil village. The 22 feet towering Buddha statue here is not just a great photo point, but also an ideal location to find your own precious stones. Under the shade of the snow capped Shila peak, we head to Hikkim. With the world's highest post office, this is a fantastic village to simply walk around and bask in the simple joys of life. We also visit the village of Komic today - Said to be the highest motorable village in the world! Come back down to Kaza town today evening. Relax and chill today in the hotel here.

We check out and leave for Chandrataal today and its going to be a long journey! After a hearty breakfast, we head to Spiti's poster picture place - Key Monastery. No trip to Spiti is complete without visiting the Key monastery and drinking nun chai, while watching the clouds go by. We do just that. From here, we head to Kibber- A tiny hamlet best known for its Blue Sheep and Himalayan Ibex (Keep those eyes wide open, you guys!). From here, we drive into Chicham to witness the world's highest suspension bridge. We usually like to break into a dance here, want to join in!? After all this fun head out to Chandrataal. Our journey to Chandrataal is long and full of adventure, again passing through the magnificent Kunzum Pass. We will be stopping over en-route at the last village of Spiti and grabbing on some delicacies before we leave the valley.For sunset, we are hiking up to this mystic, pristine lake of Chandrataal. In all its glory, the lake gleams below the star studded sky and it is a vision to capture in your hearts and souls!

After an early breakfast and chai, we freshen up and get ready to head back to Manali. Our road back is going to cross through Batal and its famous Chacha Chachi Dhaba. Let's sit down for a lavish second breakfast here, shall we? Chacha's paratha's and Chachi's daal are to die for. We cross Chota dhara - Gramphoo and head back to Manali through Atal Tunnel. This journey is long and we will be reaching Manali later today. We catch our buses back to Delhi/ Chandigarh from here today. Tour ends as we drop you to Manali. You can choose to stay back in Manali or catch a bus out to Chandigarh or Delhi.
