Once we meet at Srinagar Airport, we head out to our first attraction - Shankaracharya temple. Perched atop a hill, this 8th CE structure is a historic and spiritual icon for the city (and also a brilliant view point from where you can see the whole of Srinagar). After lunch today, head out to explore the city further. If time permits, we also embark on a walking tour in the old city through its historical structures, spice markets, old bakeries etc. We will also try to visit the Khanqah e moula and Jama Masjid here today in Srinagar's old city area. Our night today will be in a beautiful wooden houseboat. A specialty of Srinagar, the stay in a houseboat is an experience in itself. A sunset boat ride on the Dal Lake ensues, and nothing can get more mesmerizing than this here in Kashmir. Dinner and fun times on the houseboat today

We leave for Kashmir's best kept secret and our trip's iconic destination GUREZ today. Journey to Gurez takes about 6-7 hours along with sufficient breaks. Enroute we will be stopping over at Manasbal Lake. Here you can go boating if interested. After this, the next stop will be Peer Baba samadhi that also has a lovely temple managed by the army. After this, we drive for 4 kms and take a stop at Razdan pass. After spending some time here, we leave for Gurez Valley. Once in Gurez, we have our lunch here and then head out to explore. Our first stop here will be the Khandial top. After this, we check into our modest hotel in Gurez valley.

Today, after breakfast, we first go to Habba Khatoon peak and checkout the natural stream. This water is delicious to drink. After this, we head to Tulel valley. We checkout villages like Achoora, Purana Tulail, Shaikpura etc. As we head into pristine wonderlands today, we will be tracing back to our good old childhood days! As winter sets in, the whole valley goes silent and what better way to enjoy the sights of mountains, rivers and villages than a value added picnic ;) Watch time go by as you enjoy the solace of the river, the ever so strong mountains and the verdant greenery. Kashmir has a way to heal your soul they say and today is one such day! Tulel valley, Sheikhpora is where you'll feel you've come back at least 50 years in time.

Head out to Sonamarg today after breakfast. It is bound to be a long drive day today and you can finish all the pending enroute sightseeing in case you missed out on any. Once you reach Sonamarg today, rest and relax it out here tonight. Our sightseeing of Thajiwas glacier will be done tomorrow morning!

After a scrumptious breakfast, head out to Thajiwas glacier. Sonamarg we are visiting for the Thajiwas glacier - a formidable force of beauty! We hike up the 6 km stretch to witness what we would have once drawn as kids - a verdant green landscape, with gushing river flowing and snow clad peaks all around. People can also take the pony here in case you don't want to do the climb on foot. In Sonamarg, your this childhood imagery becomes a reality. We will also be spending time by the Indus river that flows here. Truly, Kashmir is Jannat and you are bound to feel the same here. After immersing in this beauty, we head back to Srinagar for the night. Overnight in Srinagar homestay!

After breakfast today, you can check out and head out to explore the city of Srinagar. Visit the Mughal gardens / finish any pending sightseeing from the first day (if any), shopping etc. For those looking to extend their trip, you can consider speaking to us seperately for the same.
